A year of insightful discussions and collaborative action has highlighted pathways towards a more sustainable built environment.
Since 2023, our decarbonisation roundtable events have brought together industry professionals to share experiences, challenges and practical solutions in the journey toward decarbonisation.
In 2024, these discussions provided a platform for learning, collaboration and fresh perspectives—helping participants navigate legislative changes, explore innovative retrofit strategies and uncover the real-world impact of sustainable design.
What have we learnt?
- A clearer understanding of how the UK Net Zero Carbon Building Standard is shaping consistent metrics
- Actionable insights into the power of retrofitting to reduce embodied carbon
- Practical examples of public-private collaboration driving meaningful progress
- A deeper appreciation of how sustainable building design can enhance wellbeing
- A look at how AI, digital twins and real-time data are transforming energy efficiency
Our report captures these key takeaways - offering insights and practical steps to apply in your own projects. Delve into the insights here.
The challenge ahead is not just to keep the conversation going, but to turn shared knowledge into action. By learning from each other and embedding sustainability into every stage of design and construction, we can shape a built environment that benefits both people and the planet.
We remain dedicated to leading and facilitating this transformative journey toward our shared sustainability objectives. If you’re interested in shaping the future of decarbonisation, we invite you to join the conversation. Keep an eye out for more roundtable events in 2025.
What do you know about our Retrofit Toolkit?
To help our clients take meaningful steps toward decarbonisation, we’ve developed a Retrofit Toolkit—an intuitive and user-friendly innovation designed to guide early-stage interventions. Our tool is already supporting individuals and businesses to make informed decisions from the outset, ensuring decarbonisation plans are both strategic and effective.
We’d love to support you on this journey. Get in touch, and let’s work together to create a more sustainable future.
