WE HAVE CREATED AN ARCHITECTURAL IDENTITY DRAWING INSPIRATION FROM THE RICH HISTORY OF THE FORMER TANNERY SITE TO CREATE A MASTERPLAN AND HOMES WHICH PROMOTE POSITIVE LIVING SPACES FOR THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND RESIDENTS.
The distinct character of the locale and its listed buildings presented an architectural challenge that was met with designs both contemporary and sympathetic. A precast concrete colonnade complements the nearby gardens and surrounding architecture, while realising cost-savings through off-site manufacturing.
The existing site was originally hard paving and semi-industrial buildings, the use of communal courtyards, boundary hedging, trees and bio-diverse roofs has transformed the site into a greener environment. Unique roof level gardens and terraces create outdoor spaces that not only enjoy high levels of privacy, but also fantastic panoramic views over the city.
All homes have either a private garden, terrace or balcony and many also have direct access to semiprivate communal gardens. Through thoughtful and sustainable architecture, these homes are designed to enhance the lives of their residents.
