We are excited to share that we have achieved NHS Evergreen Sustainable Supplier - Level 2
by AHR
The NHS Evergreen Sustainable Supplier Assessment is a self-assessment and reporting tool.
Part of the NHS’ ambition to reach net zero carbon by 2045, it is now compulsory for suppliers to the NHS to submit this assessment annually and essential for us to continue working with the NHS to offer supportive healthcare spaces.
The Evergreen Assessment is one of several NHS initiatives designed to support its sustainability objectives and we are delighted to have achieved Level 2: Comprehensive net zero targets and reporting for carbon emissions.
By completing this assessment, we are supporting the NHS in their efforts towards achieving their sustainability goals, including those set out in the NHS Net Zero Supplier Roadmap and improving health now and for future generations.
We are dedicated to promoting sustainability throughout all of our projects and working practices. As part of our commitment to constantly improve how we manage and reduce our carbon emissions, since 2019, we have had a formal Carbon Reduction Plan in place and we are on track to reach Carbon Neutrality by 2030.
Collaboration is key on our collective journey to net zero, so that we can find innovative ways to reach our common sustainability goals. As we monitor, measure, and react to our impact on sustainability project by project, we share our insights across the industry by holding roundtable events with likeminded peers and industry experts throughout the year.
In 2023, our series of roundtable events focused on the challenges and opportunities of retrofit. A common theme raised was the need to upskill across the industry to overcome these challenges and empower sustainability champions to make meaningful, lasting change. You can read more insights from all our roundtable events.
In the UK, 80% of buildings which will contribute to the UK net zero carbon target for 2050 already exist and many building portfolios face a real challenge in retrofitting and being able to meet upcoming net zero carbon targets. We have developed a data driven decision making toolkit – The Retrofit Toolkit to decarbonisation, which will help you to review your assets in an informed and strategic way. Click here to find out how you can use this tool to help you make informed decisions as part of your estates strategy.
We deliver places and spaces that are unique, healthy, and inspiring additions to the built environment and aim to leave the world better than we found it. Find out more about our commitment to sustainability.
