We're so pleased to be amongst the shortlisted for this coveted award, celebrating the very best in originality, innovation and quality in healthcare estates.

We proudly unlock the full potential of healthcare estates, whether it’s by designing innovative new buildings or creatively reimagining existing spaces.

Our work spans hospitals, community health centres and mental health facilities, ensuring modern standards and environmental sustainability.

We’re delighted with this achievement. Our teams work hard to maximise the potential of healthcare estates while enhancing and supporting the wellbeing of those who use them.”

Gareth Banks

Regional Director, Architecture

Through quality planning and execution, we create energy-efficient, healing environments that integrate community services and foster interaction among patients, families and clinical staff.

We collaborate closely with NHS Trusts and local health boards across the UK, offering our services through various public sector frameworks. With our diverse experience, we’re committed to helping shape NHS estates that support a sustainable and resilient health service for the next 50 years and beyond.

Across large scale estate masterplans, new build, refurbishments and extensions our projects drive economic development and regeneration, delivering spaces that enhance community wellbeing and holistic patient care.

Supporting health and wellbeing in the region

Promoting better community health, the Cross Hands Community Health and Wellbeing Centre will seamlessly integrate healthcare into residents’ daily lives. Bringing many public services into one place, enhancing accessibility, ensuring proactive healthcare management and reducing acute care needs and hospital admissions.

Designed to improve care for the communities it serves

Our Hospitals Transformation Programme (HTP) with Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is revolutionising healthcare in the region, fulfilling the Trust’s goal of offering acute care in one location. With innovative department layouts, orientation, movement strategies and digital architecture, we address the existing hospital’s challenges stemming from its gradual growth.

Transforming day patient care for local communities

Part of our wider HTP work, the new elective hub at Princess Royal Hospital will reinvent same-day procedures. Enabling the Trust to increase the number of day-case operations undertaken, reducing waiting times and providing access to more specialist services.

Creating a healthcare estate that stands the test of time

We’re replacing the RAAC-plank maternity building at Countess of Chester Hospital with a new net zero carbon in operation Women’s and Children’s Unit. Using the site’s unique topography, following a sweeping curve, we created a high-quality inpatient environment with courtyards and terraces bringing daylight into the heart of the wards.

Supporting teenage patients, with care and dignity

At Guys and St Thomas we created a specialist unit for teenagers with cancer and sickle cell disease in the Afro-Caribbean community. With a comfortable space for teenage patients, they can take their time to recover in a safe and welcoming environment. With ‘bedsit’ patient rooms, social spaces and a kitchen - a ‘home away from home’ provides supportive spaces for friends and families.

We can’t wait to find out the results in October. Congratulations to those also shortlisted!
