David Kelly
Production Director
Qualifications
BA (Hons) Dip Arch RIBA
Production Director and Architect David Kelly has so far enjoyed his 28 years with the practice. Graduating from Architect to Regional Director, David now leads ‘best practice’ across AHR and ensures that the organisation remains equipped to meet the challenges of tomorrow, today.
“I’m passionate about how architecture is assembled and how it performs in response to the key challenges of safety, wellbeing and climate change’’
His enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge on how to close the performance gap between design intent and the finished product is in constant demand across AHR, promoting continual improvement in the offices. New standards governing climate change, building safety, building resilience, wellbeing, net zero carbon and sustainability all require a joined-up solution from us; David is helping re-write the narrative in this respect so that, in an era of unprecedented change, we can offer a degree of certainty to our Clients.
David is the founder of AHR’s Carbon Reduction Plan and the science-based targets by which it is measured. More recently, he has turned his attention to curating the materials, techniques, and craftsmanship we use – building a Specifications Database for AHR that establishes our baseline offer in terms of performance, quality, and sustainability.
Outside of the office, you’ll find David with his sleeves rolled up, building, landscaping or visiting the places and spaces that inspire him.
