Neil Ward

Associate Neil Ward from our Huddersfield office is a knowledgeable, talented and strong team leader, with expertise across the many areas of building consultancy. Having spent more than 20 years at the practice, he has developed a keen eye for detail and a meticulous approach to his work to support the full lifecycle of a project.

Initially joining the practice as a building surveyor, Neil’s professional journey has led him to diversify his expertise and excel in a range of roles, including employer’s agent and project manager. Working across multiple sectors, including universities, transport and infrastructure, technology and industrial, conservation and heritage, and residential.

Neil has experience working for private and public-sector clients across various building types, undertaking both project and professional surveying duties. Working on maintenance and refurbishment of existing commercial buildings, with leading roles in managing many major refurbishment and repair projects.

Inspired by the vast variety of work he takes on and the challenges that each brings, he enjoys working alongside a talented group of colleagues across AHR to provide the most effective solutions for his clients.

Throughout his career, Neil has developed and maintained strong working relationships, professionally communicating with people at all levels, whether it’s liaising with consultants or engaging face to face with contractors on site.

His spare time centres around his family and supporting his children in their sporting activities. Something which he is particularly fond of as a recently retired footballer. He enjoys his time in the outdoors, mostly walking his dog and indulging in many DIY tasks.
