Landau Forte Academy
Tamworth, UK
project overview
Education facilities designed to adapt as approaches to learning develop
Our Landau Forte Academy project comprises of two separate developments in Tamworth, one 11-16 centre and one Post-16 centre.
Keeping in line with Landau Forte’s vision, both schemes share a common design philosophy, helping to be recognised as a ‘family’ of schools, whilst boasting their unique qualities.
Both facilities include a range of classroom sizes and bright, airy and open learning spaces. The spaces vary in size, from smaller, more intimate group spaces and larger, more flexible spaces to better support students according to their individual needs.
At the 11-16 centre, an emphasis is placed on a stronger Mathematics and English offering, whilst simultaneously delivering personalised learning opportunities for young people.
Post-16 has been designed to enable students to engage in more academic pathways, with greater independence in their learning.
Dedicated faculty zones, or ‘learning wings’ are integrated into both school designs. The zones are thoughtfully placed to enable the sharing of resources and support between departments with commonalities.
